Purpose & Participants
The purpose of Leaders Associates is to simultaneously renew our commitment to and effectiveness in helping our students learn, thrive, and contribute to our democratic society.
Leaders in the McKay School of Education, the BYU colleges and departments with teacher preparation programs, and five partner school districts gather twice a year to dialogue problems of practice surrounding teacher education and schooling.
Participants typically prepare by reading designated materials. Meetings include presentations by participants, lectures and activities led by national presenters, small group discussions, and a few full-group discussions and activities.
In at atmosphere of trust and respect, partners deepen relationships and their understanding and application of the Commitments embraced within the BYU-Public School Partnership.
